The Fires burn.

Some call it the falcon rebellion. Some, the war of the usurper. Some call it the restoration of old Aerys. Whatever it may be, it is a war. And war carries destruction with it. Fires burn across the realm, engulfing the holdfasts of those who´s side retreats.

Ser Bodrick the Bold carries out a punitive campaign southward from the capital. A mighty Baratheon host retakes Bronzegate, hanging any Arryn sentry and garrison on its way. The fires burn at the edge of the Kingswood.

Meanwhile, Ser Redfort flees, his small force chased by Baratheon scouts. He makes the march from Storm´s End to Blackhaven, where he besieges the ancient keep of House Dondarion. Most fighting men are off with the King´s Army, leaving the castle undefended as the Arryn men plunder its provisions. The fires burn in the southern marches.

As per contract writ in blood, House Nymerios Martell of Dorne joins the traiterous Arryns and their false crusade. Prince Maron entrusts his forces to a mere girl, an heir of House Fowler of Skyreach. As a Martell army, some twenty thousand strong, marches on Nightsong by the edge of Baratheon territory.

The Martell force quickly takes the castle of House Caron, a grave insult to Ser Gwayne who serves in the court of King Rhaegel. As the ancient rivalry between the marcher lords is once again ignited, the Dornishmen establish a foothold situated right between the Stormlands and the Reach. The fires burn at the Prince´s Pass.

Another force, however marches against the false monarch. Another prince, another Targaryen lord. In the Riverlands, troops move unbeknownst of their overlords.

Soldiers of the northern houses, some younger generals of House Glover and House Umber seperate their troops from the main Stark force to march down the Kingsroad. As they cross the territories of Harrenhal, they find a warcamp south of the Crossroads. The unified force now wields thirty thousand spears in the name of the Prince. They make their way toward the Goldroad, where they are reinforced again. Reachmen, disloyal to the lowborn bastard that has led them against the true dragon, have defected. Houses Tarly and Oakheart have lent their banners to Maekar as well, swelling his force to fourty thousand.

It is this force that he marches on Rosby with. A town close to the capital, from where he may reinforce his troops until he can join a larger force to retake the capital. The fires burn at the Blackwater.

4.
Pirates.

Many see a conflict as fruit ripe with opportunity. It seems, a pirate captain has seen the North, frigid as it may be, as an ideal target. Either that, or someone has paid this captain handsomely to target such unwelcoming waters.

In their conquest, these pirates have now executed a noble captive. Lord Sinclair Dustin, Lord of Barrowtown and the Barrowlands sinks into an unmarked, watery grave beneath the waves of Shivering Sea.

But what Ser Corbray lacks in foreign charm, he makes up for in bloodlines, as House Corbray is rumored to house some Dragonseeds themselves.

The Battle of Stoney Sept.

Empty lies the town of Stoney Sept...

Baratheon forces retreated from
Pinkmaiden as the year 212 closed on
them. Tyrell forces covered their
march. But as Khailee Flowers secured
the perimeter of the valley, decisions
had already been made. As she
returned to Stoney Sept, the town was
emptying, Stormlanders marching
back toward the Crownlands. Injured,
defeated, the Baratheon host was
pulling back. The Tyrell troops had
not recieved orders to return to the
Reach.

Khailee Flowers tried organiying her
ranks as Ronnal Baratheon rode into
camp to tally his returning forces and
supplies. Their meeting was brief.

The air of impending catastrophe hung over Stoney Sept. Lord Ronnal urged for an orderly retreat, a regrouping south in King´s Landing. The Lady Kahilee had other plans with her host.

She prepared her defenses. She knew Tully was riding for Stoney Sept now. She had faced him in battle, barely saving the Baratheon forces. But she had not crossed swords with him. A fire burned within her to face Edmund Tully, the bane of the realm. She believed in her ability to stop him. Maybe not his army, but him.

So she prepared a defense. The bulk of her forces would await them in Stoney Sept. She would take a small vanguard with her to attack Lord Tully directly. They had not looted many pieces of Riverlander´s armor and banners but it was enough to equip a dozen knights. She would take this force right up to Edmund´s command line and attack him directly. She would lose the town, her forces, but she would stop the scourge.

In the morning however, there would only be thirty thousand soldiers left for her to hold fast. Many had decided that they would not bleed for the death of a single Riverlander. That they would join Prince Maekar instead.

As the sun rose past the dusty fields of Pinkmaiden, the Tully force pushed on Stoney Sept, leaving the carnage behind. They crested the hill down into the valley that the Tyrell force had fortified. To their surprise, the force they encountered was not the large combined force that they had fought at Pinkmaiden, but instead a Tyrell army that they outnumbered at least two to one.

The Rivermen swarmed down the valley, engaging the small force. The Reachmen were fighting a desperate struggle as their commander prepared her ambush. When Edmund Tully was informed of the band of stragglers and lost knights, he was busy commanding the battle ahead. He recognized one of the approaching banners, that of House Blackwood of Raventree Hall. His bannerman Lord Joshua had lost a few cousins at Pinkmaiden, he would surely be glad to see at least one of them alive after all this.

As the knights rode toward his small encampment, he prepared to greet them. They did not
stop however. One of the knights wielding the brown and black of House Darry rode down
two guardsmen in his retinue. On the left, two knights rode towards his master of arms, one
shooting the man with a crossbow before he could duck. In alarming speed, the Blackwood
Knight was upon him, charging Lord Edmund with a lance. A loyal knight, a younger son of
House Mallister of Seagard dove in between Lord Edmund and the charging steed, providing
crucial seconds to escape. Now, he was running from tent to tend as his men struggled to
defend against the cavalry charge. He grabbed a a lance off a rack of weapons, then a shield
as tents were ripping and steel clashing behind him. As Lord Edmund turned, he saw the
same Blackwood Knight charge him again. Planting the spear toward the charging horse at
the last second, he was thrown back as the beast hit him while throwing off its rider.

As Lord Edmund came to his feet, he had been thrown aside, near a creek cutting through
the treeline. His shoulder ached, it had either come loose or had been broken. His pristine
blue armor was caked in mud and blood. As his vision sharpened, he saw a shape approach
him. The Blackwood Knight, limping, skipping toward him with some momentum, sword in
hand. As Edmund unsheathed his blade, he looked up the hill, his men were busy, another
contingent had broken through. He needed to return to this battle at once.

The Knight swung at Edmund with tireless precision. The Lord of Riverrun pulled this
Blackwood traitor in, recieving a deep cut behind his thigh in the process. Then, he used
his larger size to tackle and grab the dark plate, lifting the enemy knight slightly before
crashing to the ground. The two, now trying to fight each other with daggers, rolled on the muddy ground. Edmund began overpowering the Blackwood Knight until he recieved another slash, this time in the gap between his hip plates, as the Knight rolled Lord Edmund off of him.

Lord Edmund was forcing himself to stand again, trying to pull his sword out of the mud as the knight approached, dagger in hand. As he took steps back, the sound of hooves deafened both combatants. They looked up the reach, the Tully cavalry had pulled back toward the camp and was eradicating the attacking rogue knights. Down the slope, past the creek, the Tyrell forces were capitulating the town and their camp. Tully forces were taking prisoners.
Riders rushed by the Blackwood Knight´s side. "My lady! We need to leave!" With Tully cavalry on their heels. With that, the Blackwood Knight mounted and rode deep into the woods, toward the hills by the Goldroad, Tully cavalry following them into the distance.

Lord Edmund returned to his camp. As Tully forces set up in the recaptured town of Stoney Sept, he was moved to the sept the town was named for and treated by Maesters.
