Although we are playing an alternate history scenario and making our own choices, learning about Westeros and its history is still useful in our game.

With the exception of the death of Brynden Rivers in the first Blackfyre rebellion in 196 AC, the world of Westeros progresses identically to the canon until our start date of 209 AC.
